"The only thing new is the history we don't know." Harry Truman
The museum sponsors several annual events to get museum visitors actively involved in imagining life in days gone by and to encourage new visitors to come to the museum.
Spring: Kindergarten Days
Local classes of kindergarteners are treated to demonstrations of pioneer life.

Winter: Trees Along The Trail
This event attracts new museum visitors and raises funds for the museum and local nonprofit organizations. Each sponsoring organization provides and decorates a Christmas tree. Museum visitors buy tickets and vote on their favorite trees, with half the proceeds from each vote going to the museum and half to the sponsoring organization. The top vote-getters earn additional money for their nonprofit organizations.
