Kindergartener's Trip Thru Time
In early spring, 500 - 800 kindergarten students from western NE visit the museum for a field trip. They get to watch antique equipment operate or get to try their hand at shelling corn, making rope, playing with pioneer toys, and other activities.
It takes twenty five volunteers from the museum, twenty helpers from Gering and Mitchell High Schools, with support form Educational Service Unit #13 to host the two day event. The kids, teachers, and volunteers all have a great time.
