NORTH PLATTE VALLEY MUSEUM

"The only thing new is the history we don't know." Harry Truman

Puzzles of the Past
Second Friday of every month, 9 to 11 a.m.

The North PlatteValleyMuseum is continuing its Puzzles of the Past project in 2012. The purpose of the project is to use the power of “crowdsourcing” to identify old photos from times gone by.

On the second Friday of every month, the museum hosts a photo identification get-together for anyone interested in helping solve these photo puzzles.
Refreshments are provided.

There will be new batches of photos each month along with previous ones that need another look by a new person, so repeat attendees and newcomers are both welcome.

The photo identification project helps to improve the quality of the museum’s collection and
provides a fun opportunity for socialization.

Rotating Exhibit Gallery
100 Years of Girl Scouts: More than Cookies
Through early May 2012

The current exhibit celebrates 100 years of Girl Scouts. Displays include uniforms through the years, a comparison of badge requirements in the 1920s and today, stories of Girl Scouts across generations, an interactive display with "signaler badge" requirements and an opportunity for anyone who has ever been a Girl Scout to leave her mark on the exhibit.
